RESPECT OPENING CALL ARTISTS Registration opens for the “RESPECT” CONTEMPORARY ART EVENT From 01 to 14 November 2023 by Arch. Claudia Mantelli Art Curator “Doodle Art” On the occasion of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women of November 25, 2023, with “DOODLE ART”, I developed the idea of creating an event of Contemporary art against the abuse of women, entitled “RESPECT”. The Event will be held from 1 to 14 November 2023. During the “Respect” Event it was decided to dedicate the evening of Thursday 9 November 2023 at a conference open to the public on Violence against Woman who continues undaunted to claim victims through abuse, oppression, rape and brutal feminicides. The Conference will be open to the public on the evening of November 9, 2023, from 6.30 to pm to 9.00 pm. Contemporary art plays an important role in society. In this situation every Artist will be able to freely express their point of view through Fine Arts, the I photograph Design, Visual Art, Installations, Performances and many other forms of Art. Thanks to the importance of Art as direct, emotional communication and awareness and touchingly it is possible to elicit notable changes. the Artist can help educate the people, you can promote understanding caused by this eternal evil. Not wanting to be banal or repetitive what is the Woman who has not suffered some imposition, abuse from part of man? Cases of rape are much more widespread than you think: unfortunately they are not they are declining and are largely silenced. The people who suffer them are left, in eight cases out of ten, alone to manage the psychological and physical consequences. For this reason it rape, disturbing in itself, becomes unbearable and we’re not just talking of Italy but of Europe and the whole world!!! ..This is the reason for this Event First Edition: interpret, make each individual more aware of the fact that it is not possible continue like this. Every Woman (individual, child, living creature included) must not be the object of sadism, of lascivious and violent attitudes of all kinds: RESPECT is needed…. We need Respect.. Le persone che li subiscono sono lasciate, in otto casi su dieci, sole a gestirne le conseguenze psicologiche e fisiche. Per questo lo stupro, fatto di per sé inquietante, diventa insopportabile e non stiamo parlando solo dell’ Italia ma dell”Europa e del Mondo intero!!! ..Ecco il perché di questo Evento alla prima Edizione : interpretare, sensibilizzare maggiormente ogni individuo sul fatto che non si possa continuare così. Milano, 19 Maggio 2023 , Tra gli Artisti partecipanti, Adriano Savoye, Delia Saba, Daniela Barbero, Gabriele Coccia, Luigi Galante, Guido Corazziari, Isabella Paglino, Lemmy Gonthier, Mara Monterosso, Mauro Molinari, METABORG, Roberto Persi Santorum, Sabrina Puppin, Simona Zecca, Valeria Sciusco Da tempo mi relaziono al rapporto che intercorre tra Arte e Follia: ora è giunto il momento di omaggiare il famoso Erasmo da Rotterdam, Autore della celebre Opera “L’Elogio della Follia”(1511) con un delizioso Evento, una Mostra d’ Arte contemporanea, nella speranza che gli renda onore .L’ iter che ho seguito, insieme agli Artisti e ai collaboratori, è stato soprattutto quello di lasciarsi andare al fatto che.. “Le idee migliori non vengono dalla ragione, ma da una lucida, visionaria follia…(Erasmo da Rotterdam)”, cosa non sempre così facile, in quanto è molto importante imparare a perdere il controllo, mantenendo l’ ingegno.. Erasmo Da Rotterdam rappresenta la Follia come Dea in vesti di Donna, che sta all’ origine del bene dell’ Umanità e degli Dei a cui farebbe doni “io,io sola sono a tutti prodiga di tutto”. Infatti il più grande dono è saper “abbandonarsi un poco a qualche leggerezza e follia”. Nessuno genera, crea, se non grazie all’ebbrezza gioiosa della Follia. Con immenso piacere, interesse ed ironia potremo viaggiare metaforicamente attraverso le meravigliose Installazioni in legno e metallo e quelle create con Opere dipinte in seta. L’insolita installazione a parete, Opere pittoriche astratte, Espressionismo, Pop Art, Opere patafisiche , Fiber Art e Acquerelli … Sarà una grande sorpresa?…Una spirale di Follia! Amando l’Arte in ogni sua forma ed espressione, ho ideato questo Evento di Arte contemporanea in omaggio al celebre Compositore italiano, Giacomo Puccini, considerato uno dei migliori e più significativi Operisti di tutti i tempi e alla Musica.
È un Evento particolare, in quanto non si tratta di suonare musica, bensì di esprimere la musicalità interiore attraverso le Belle Arti e il Design. Un’ Opera d’ Arte contemporanea positiva o negativa che sia, trasmette una musicalità che coinvolge l’Osservatore più attento e sensibile. Nel caso in cui ci si trovi di fronte ad un Capolavoro il Silenzio potrebbe avvolgerci con una spirale di emozioni.Ogni Artista potrà esprimere sé stesso e la propria relazione con la musica, attraverso le proprie Opere d’Arte pittoriche, fotografiche, scultoree, di Design d’Arte, …senza forzature di alcun genere!Sono queste interazioni, dinamismi artistici, sound che daranno vita all’ Evento ” NESSUN DORMA”. E’ la contaminazione artistica a creare la Magia! Ognuno è libero di esporre le proprie creazioni facendo sentire sé stesso, emozioni, sogni, “denunce”… turbamenti… Adoro questo Titolo, anche perché è significativo in questo particolare momento: abbiamo passato quasi tre anni reclusi, causa Covid, guerre, problemi che hanno spinto buona parte di Noi a sentirci quasi “sedati”, ansiosi ed è venuto il momento di dire basta:
Nessun dorma, nel senso che bisogna vivere attivamente e positivamente la propria Vita, …la propria favolosa Arte!

Loving Art in all its forms and expressions, I created this Contemporary Art Event in homage to the famous Italian composer, Giacomo Puccini, considered one of the best and most significant Operists of all time and to Music.
It is a particular Event, as it is not about playing music, but about expressing inner musicality through Fine Arts and Design. A work of contemporary art, whether positive or negative, transmits one musicality that involves the most attentive and sensitive observer. In the event that we are faced with a Masterpiece, Silence could envelop us with a spiral of emotions.Each Artist will be able to express himself and his relationship with music, through his own pictorial, photographic, sculptural, Art Design… without forcing of any kind! It is these interactions, artistic dynamisms, sounds that will give life to the “NESSUN DORMA” Event. It is the artistic contamination that creates the Magic! Everyone is free to exhibit their creations by making themselves feel, emotions, dreams, “complaints” … disturbances … I love this title, also because it is significant in this particular moment: we have spent almost three years in prison, due to Covid, wars, problems that have pushed most of us to feel almost “sedated”, anxious and the time has come to say enough:
“NESSUN DORMA”, in the sense that one must actively and positively live one’s life, … your own fabulous Art!

Nessun dorma è una celebre romanza per tenore della Turandot di Giacomo Puccini, considerata come una delle più grandi romanze della storia della musica.
Giacomo PucciniÈ intonata dal personaggio di Calaf all’inizio del terzo atto. Immerso nella notte di Pechino, in totale solitudine, il “Principe ignoto” attende il sorgere del giorno, quando potrà finalmente conquistare l’amore di Turandot, la principessa di ghiaccio.

Nessun dorma! Nessun dorma! Tu pure, o, principessa, Nella tua fredda stanza, Guardi le stelle Che tremano d’amore E di speranza.
Ma il mio mistero e chiuso in me, Il nome mio nessun saprá! No, no, sulla tua bocca lo diró Quando la luce splenderá!
Ed il mio bacio sciogliera il silenzio Che ti fa mia!
Nell’atto precedente a quest’aria, Calaf ha correttamente risposto ai tre enigmi fatti a tutti i potenziali pretendenti della principessa Turandot. Nondimeno, la donna indietreggia al pensiero del matrimonio con lui. Calaf le offre un’altra possibilità sfidandola a indovinare il suo nome all’alba. Mentre si inginocchia davanti a lei, il tema “Nessun dorma” fa la sua prima apparizione, secondo le sue parole, “Il mio nome non sai!”. Lei può ucciderlo se indovina correttamente il suo nome; ma se non lo fa, deve sposarlo. La principessa crudele ed emotivamente fredda decreta quindi che nessuno dei suoi sudditi dormirà quella notte fino a quando non verrà scoperto il suo nome. Se falliscono, tutti verranno uccisi. Quando si apre l’atto finale, è notte. Calaf è solo nei giardini del palazzo illuminati dalla luna. In lontananza, sente gli araldi di Turandot che proclamano i suoi comandi. La sua aria inizia con un’eco del loro pianto e una riflessione sulla principessa Turandot e inizia l’Opera di Giacomo Puccini.

No dorma is a famous romance for tenor from Giacomo Puccini’s Turandot, considered one of the greatest romances in the history of music.
Giacomo Puccini It is sung by the character of Calaf at the beginning of the third act. Immersed in the Beijing night, in total solitude, the “Unknown Prince” awaits the dawn, when he will finally be able to win the love of Turandot, the ice princess.

But my mystery is closed in me, No one will know my name! No, no, I’ll say it on your mouth When the light shines!

The poetic text.
In the act preceding this aria, Calaf correctly answered the three puzzles made to all potential suitors of Princess Turandot. Nonetheless, the woman recoils at the thought of marrying him. Calaf offers her another chance by challenging her to guess her name at dawn. As he kneels before her, the theme “No sleep” makes her first appearance, in her words, “My name you don’t know!”. She can kill him if she guesses her name correctly; but if she doesn’t, she has to marry him. The cruel and emotionally cold princess then decrees that none of her subjects will sleep that night until her name is discovered. If they fail, everyone will be killed. When the final act opens, it is night. Calaf is alone in the palace gardens illuminated by the moon. In the distance, he hears Turandot’s heralds proclaiming his commands to him. His aria begins with an echo of their tears and a reflection on Princess Turandot and the opera by Giacomo Puccini begins.
