A work of art today is not limited to what is seen. It is the result of a complex process in which experience, memory, the unconscious, and planning coexist. Even when the gesture appears instinctive, as in abstraction or material experimentation, it is often the culmination of profound research, a vision that takes shape through the artist’s personal language.
From the historical avant-garde to contemporary practices, artists such as Wassily Kandinsky, Mark Rothko, and Gerhard Richter have opened up new possibilities for interpreting images, demonstrating how art can exist beyond representation, becoming a mental, emotional, and perceptive space.
In this context, DEEP emerges as a meeting place for different languages—painting, sculpture, photography, installation, and design—united by a common striving for research and the creation of something beyond the visible. Representation isn’t necessary to communicate: what matters is the ability to transform an intuition into form, a thought into an image, an experience into matter.
The depth to which the title refers isn’t merely aesthetic, but perceptive. It’s what lies behind the image, what isn’t immediately legible, but what reveals itself over time, in the gaze, in the relationship between work and viewer. It’s in this dimension that contemporary art finds its most authentic strength.
DEEP – Beyond the Surface is not a simple group exhibition, but a curatorial project designed to showcase each artist as if it were a solo show, through a thoughtful approach, a critical vision, and a targeted communication strategy. Participating means entering a professional context where one’s work is carefully monitored, interpreted, and presented, with the aim of building real visibility and concrete opportunities.

PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENTS

To participate, the following is required:

  • Payment of the participation fee
  • Submission of a biography and artist profile
  • Links to your social media channels
  • Completion of the curatorial form and mandate to sell (provided at the time of registration)
  • Works complete with suitable supports for installation

Works must be delivered and collected on the days indicated by the organizers, if not sold.

L’opera d’arte oggi non si limita a ciò che si vede. È il risultato di un processo complesso in cui convivono esperienza, memoria, inconscio e progettualità. Anche quando il gesto appare istintivo, come nell’astrazione o nella sperimentazione materica, esso è spesso il punto di arrivo di una ricerca profonda, di una visione che prende forma attraverso il linguaggio personale dell’artista.
Dalle avanguardie storiche fino alle pratiche contemporanee, artisti come Wassily Kandinsky, Mark Rothko e Gerhard Richter hanno aperto nuove possibilità di lettura dell’immagine, dimostrando come l’arte possa esistere al di là della rappresentazione, diventando spazio mentale, emozionale e percettivo.
In questo contesto, DEEP si configura come un luogo di incontro tra linguaggi differenti — pittura, scultura, fotografia, installazione e design — uniti da una comune tensione verso la ricerca e la creazione di qualcosa che va oltre il visibile. Non è necessario rappresentare per comunicare: ciò che conta è la capacità di trasformare un’intuizione in forma, un pensiero in immagine, un’esperienza in materia.
La profondità a cui fa riferimento il titolo non è solo estetica, ma percettiva. È ciò che si nasconde dietro l’immagine, ciò che non è immediatamente leggibile, ma che si rivela nel tempo, nello sguardo, nella relazione tra opera e osservatore. È in questa dimensione che l’arte contemporanea trova la sua forza più autentica.
DEEP – Oltre la superficie non è una semplice mostra collettiva, ma un progetto curatoriale pensato per valorizzare ogni artista come in una mostra personale, attraverso un percorso attento, una visione critica e una strategia di comunicazione mirata. Partecipare significa entrare in un contesto professionale in cui il proprio lavoro viene seguito, interpretato e presentato con cura, con l’obiettivo di costruire visibilità reale e opportunità concrete.

REQUISITI DI PARTECIPAZIONE

Per partecipare è richiesto:

-Pagamento della quota di partecipazione
-Invio di biografia e profilo artistico
-Link ai propri canali social
-Compilazione del modulo curatoriale e del mandato a vendere (forniti al momento dell’iscrizione)
-Opere complete di supporti idonei all’allestimento

Le opere dovranno essere consegnate e ritirate nei giorni indicati dall’organizzazione, qualora non vendute.
